Tip #1 - Our product is so different than what you are used to using that even if you are an expert it is imperative that you take the time to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS.
Tip #2 - Shake all products before use. This might seem like a basic concept, but you'd be surprised how many people get in a hurry and leave this part out.
Tip #3 - Test your mixture ratio. Mixture ratio is only an estimate in most cases, since we don't know your gun tip size, air pressure or painting conditions. So, if your paint or primer seems to lack coverage and goes on thin or goes on too thick causing 'orange peel', feel free to adjust the mix ratio slightly to suit your system. This will ensure you get the best coverage for your conditions .(It is very important to note that you never adjust the mix ratio of the clear coat product ever...and we really mean that.)
Tip #4 - Apply in only TWO THIN COATS and wait for it to be COMPLETELY DRY before applying clear coat. This could be as little as 30 minutes or as long as days depending on temperature, humidity and thickness of coverage.
Tip #5 - To test dryness the old school way, try to press a thumbnail into a not so obvious place on the surface, if it leaves a mark, it is not dry yet.
